Aries Moon

Thanks, Richard Brandt, for giving me my first suggestion on what to call my web design business. However, Pregnant Burrito Design is not quite the image I had in mind. Bzzzzt! Thanks for playing. Nigel Richardson came forward with Sirius, which I quite like. Of course, Sirius is a major ISP in the Bay Area, so I think they might have that name sewed up. See? It's not so easy.

Ha, says Nigel in email received later, he didn't suggest Sirius. It was simply a pun he used. Fine, okay, fine. Go see his web page anyway, it's absolutely brilliant.

MOOpal FarSide suggested Lucyent Technologies, making a cute Bell Labs reference. Sorry, no. That might imply familiarity with programming, and frankly, unless you need me to write you something in MOO code, that would never do. FarSide is an experienced programmer, though, with a demented sense of humor and a heart bigger than the planet. So someone hire him and pay him a lot of money, will you? You won't be sorry, I promise.

In other self-employment news, heartiest congratulations to Lynn Peril on getting her first book contract with Putnam! I look forward to it, since I totally love the articles she writes for the Bay Guardian, as well as everything she's done in Mystery Date, her fanzine/e-zine. Plus she's been my friend for several geological eras, so it's very exciting to watch the world embrace what I've known about for a long time.
