If you are interested in reading up on gender politics I highly recommend Mouth Organ, a weekly commentary co-edited by the equally highly recommended Columbine. Try also the excellent home page of Raphael Carter who has written one of my favorite science fiction novels The Fortunate Fall.

Sexism, n.
1. Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women.
2. Attitudes, conditions, or behaviors that promote stereotyping of social roles based on gender.
