We found a place to live! We're moving to a two bedroom condominium, ground floor only, in Palo Alto. It's not at all the kind of place we had in mind, and it's four times what we are paying here for about 1/3rd less space, but you know what they say: location, location, location. I'll be able to walk one block to Camino Real and grab a bus which means I don't have to buy a car upon arrival, if ever. John will have to rent a large storage locker elsewhere, but it won't cost more than the gas it would have taken to drive from San Bruno and back every day. The place has a large, fenced-in yard for the pets. We'll have upstairs neighbors but there's every chance they'll be civilized since it's a condo complex, not student apartments.
