Work: dull, dull, dull. All of our clients are on vacation, or just about to go. No one's buying. I was forced to file. The horror. Home: found a bright green grasshopper trying to blend in on a large purple petunia blossom. I petted him and he stayed there. Probably a relative. Social life: had a delightful Singaporean meal with Vivek Jain, one of John's former co-workers. We gossiped about the Vanderbilt and Cornell Physics departments, and heard about life in darkest Brookhaven, NY. One of Vivek's brothers is head of MTV Asia in Singapore. The brother always tries to discourage his employees from referring to themselves as working in music. He assures them they're not: they've gone into business, not art.
Pets: Dixie has responded well to a daily dose of Carprofen, a muscle relaxant related to ibuprofen, and is no longer limping or having trouble rising. All else is stable. Natasha still pees in the hallway. I now believe it's a psychological issue. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the cause, and thus am failing to find an adequate solution. Keiko remains healthy, cheerful, loving, and relentlessly sociable at pre-dawn hours.
