I just got home from my first day back at work after seven months off, and I'm so relaxed I can hardly believe it. I had an enjoyable day. Everyone at Horizon Travel is laid-back and competent, there's a nice mix of personalities among the four agents, and I didn't forget anything like the amount of Sabre I thought I would have. And they pay every week! I adore a weekly paycheck. I definitely picked the right job.
I succumbed to geekiness on my lunch hour and bought the new MacWorld magazine. It came with a CD so I'm hoping it has something cool on it. I wanted to buy the new issue of Hello! magazine but I just couldn't justify the expense of purchasing a foreign trashy magazine when The Star is only a buck and a half. Besides, I thumbed through it at the bookstore, and it's mostly full of toothy English aristocracy wearing atrocious clothing. I'd rather read about whether Farrah Fawcett is cracking up, if I must read about someone with too many teeth. After all, Charlie's Angels was a huge influence on my teen years. Halter top bikinis! Hair curled back from the face in big sausage curls! Quiana!
Someone's already figured out who the mystery celebrity is. Zowee, she's good. And here's her graphic. All hail The Mighty Kymm (aka The Hollywood Kid) for recognising the handsome Professor from Gilligan's Island (and, let us not forget, the scientist who gets blown up by alien rays so the hero and heroine can escape in This Island Earth).
