It's taking longer than I want to organize my newest Ring of Photography page containing my Acapulco photos, and I'm anxious to show off my pretty pictures, so here are a few thumbnail images. They're not linked, I just wanted you to see them in miniature first. Inconsistency is my middle name. Well, one of them.
I wandered along a narrow street at noon, squinting in the blazing sun, peering through intricate iron grates, and up at private balconies from deeply shaded arcades.
A handsome young parrot spent most of the day perched on a fence along the path to our hotel room. In the morning, we would find pieces of fruit and tortillas left for him by the maids.
Every morning I went to the beach and lay under a palapa gazing at the deep blue of Acapulco Bay. The scent of coffee, tequila, suntan oil, hot sand, and brine worked a benevolent magic on my nerves.
