It's 11pm on the night before my last class and I am done with my final. I'm not showing it to you, it's really nothing to be proud of, but it's got eight different Photoshop techniques in it and sufficiently demonstrates my progress in the use of the software. I'll probably volunteer to go first even though I can't leave until everyone has shown their projects. I just like getting things over with. Oh my god, I'm done! Then I will drive down, down, down the steep hillside, dodging in and out of the fog to the clear, warm flatlands and my house full of guests. Janice Murray and Alan Rosenthal are staying with us for two nights and then they will plunge into Worldcon machinations for the rest of the week, disappearing from our sight. John has generously cleaned the house while I added last minute inspirations to my final. I've been good for nothing as far as doing my share of chores this last week. Well, I did do several mountains of laundry, but that doesn't count as much as cleaning the bathtub does. So all hail the mighty John, physicist and supremely tidy guy.
Four full months off. I can hardly believe it; it's going to be so great. I'm going to celebrate by rejoining Weight Watchers. I've let stress run my life for the last month and I've backslid quite a bit. No more. I'll have time enough to pay attention to the way I live my life instead of rushing through it. I really look forward to that.
