I've taken my name off the calendar for June as we are definitely not going to Australia. Instead, I've marked off time to go to Chile in November. John and I will shoot for a trip to Santiago and Patagonia. I will do my best to extend my stay by a few days so we can do a side trip to Easter Island. I'm pretty excited about this. Chile's been at the top of my list for at least the last three years whenever I've fantasized about travel. It's too bad we aren't going to Australia this year, I have so many friends there, but the lure of the new is irresistable, especially if I can get an agent rate on the tour. Besides, at least with South America I can break up the trip into chunks of five and eight hour trips via Miami instead of one long fifteen hour flight over the non-scenic Pacific Ocean.

Hey, it's still the Southern Hemisphere, just a different continent. We looked into going back to Africa, but that's two days of travel just to get there, and I couldn't find a comparable price on a safari. It's also a longer time commitment once you're there. I can't be gone more than two weeks at once, it's actually a bit unusual for an agent to take that much time off. But my swell bosses said yes, and November's very slow normally, so it should all work out.

Photoshop class is finished, and I've received a grade on my final but I have no idea what it is. I don't even care. Image Ready class starts next week and Professor Cervantes said she was going to be much pickier about everything and work us much harder. Oh boy.

We've got to solve our computer problems, though, because at the moment our hard drive is seriously messed up. Photoshop crashes every single time we save our work. Do you have any idea how frustrating that is? Of course you do, what am I saying? So yeah, it's insanely frustrating, not to mention hugely unreliable and a gigantic pain in the ass, and I have to have this working because I can't do well in my class if my software borks every third minute. The Trishanator is coming over on Monday to see if she can fix it, but I'm worried. Even the Master Mojo of Trish Homis may not be able to solve this problem. If not, we zero out the drive and start again.

Ugh. I don't even want to think about it. I'm going to back to fantasizing about Easter Island now. Mmm, moais.
