Web Graphics: Adobe Photoshop I and II are going to be massive fun. And contrary to both the college website and the information at the bookstore as to which books were required the one that was definitely, no kidding, you have to buy this required is the one book our professor said wasn't necessary to buy. So I went and got the other one on our break and now I'm through buying textbooks forever. I mean, there can't possibly be a textbook for piano lessons. Sheet music, sure, or a practice manual, but not a textbook. Huzzah! Koroshiya is loaning me PS 6.0 so I can do my homework. When I can afford it I'll upgrade from 5.0, but I don't have the money right now. I spent it on tickets to Las Vegas. I'm kidding, the tickets were a shockingly cheap $81 so of course we had to go. Yes, the famous Snark Twins are returning to Vegas in May for another wild weekend of gambling with nickels, drinking a moderate amount, and taking tons of photos. We're staying at Paris this time. I've moved up hotel grades each visit. First it was the Travelodge, then the Flamingo, and now one of the very newest properties. It will be hard to top the fantastic time she and I and Sei had in October, but we'll do our best. Maybe we'll rent a car and go driving into the desert shrieking like lunatics hepped up on too much Diet Coke. We'll have fun, fun, fun 'til Avis takes the T-bird away. I'm having serious second and third thoughts about going to Australia in June. I honestly don't think I can face a 15 hour flight in coach class, and there's no possible way to get into business. No travel agent fares in that category. No frequent flier miles to use. No earned free tickets any more; man, that is so sad to think about. So many of our perks are history. Anyway, as much as I'd love to see Australia and my friends again I simply don't want to be stuck, bored and cramped, in a plane for that long. Japan and Europe are bad enough at 11 hours one way, 10 hours the other. So I don't know what we're going to do for our vacation this year. Even my second option, Chile and Argentina, means 14 hours of flying and I feel so glum every time I think about dealing with that much time in a plane. Well. Something will come up, I'm sure. Meanwhile, I have New York in March and now Vegas in May. And if I don't go to Oz in June then I think I'll take piano this summer and get my very last class out of the way so I can graduate and be done with this everlasting night school. I'd like to do something else with my evenings. Something wild and crazy like just coming home and relaxing.
Wouldn't it be nice?
